A Sad Day for Public Education

A few days ago a student in a public school stood up and walked toward the female teacher. Among a lot of foul language he said he would beat her with the cast on his arm. As he neared her the teacher called out, "If you touch me I'll kill you."At that point, the punk backed down. However, that is not the end of the story. The teacher was relieved of her classroom activities and assigned clerical work elsewhere in the school. The student was suspended for five days

I don't know what is going to happen but I know what should happen.

  1. The student should be expelled - permanently. Anyone who thinks a five day vacation is going to reform this punk is sadly mistaken. By now he has bragged to all his friends about not having to attend school for five days because he said bad things to a teacher. If this punk likes to threaten teachers, let him do it in a private school where teachers may get paid enough to put up with that kind of behavior. It has no place in public schools.

  2. The next time that student steps foot in the school, every teacher should get up and walk out. They should inform their superiors that they will never return as long as the offending student is anywhere in the building. Then, they should get in their cars and drive away for the rest of the day.

  3. The teachers union should immediately file charges against the punk and have him arrested for threatening to harm the teacher.

  4. The teachers union should inform the school board that if the punk returns to any school in the district, every teacher in the district will walk out.

Maybe the liberal socialists condone this kind of behavior but no rational human should even consider accepting it. Some behavior is just plain unacceptable and needs to be dealt with severely and immediately. When he was little my son got mad and spit on me. He was still puckered up when he hit the floor. Nothing was said but he got the message and never tried that again.

Only time will tell how this incident will turn out. Knowing the extreme liberal bias of our public school systems I doubt if anything will be done as they will find a way to sweep the entire matter under the rug.
