Donald Trump - America's Last and Only Hope

As an unabashed Trump supporter, you all know by now where my political sentiments lay.  In the not very distant past, I saw him as the Republican candidate for president. After viewing the movie, Hillary's America, I have changed my mind.  Donald Trump is not just competing for the presidency, he has become the only hope America has. If he fails, our future will indeed be bleak. I believe in destiny. I believe in fate - or Kismet - call it what you will.

In history, there have been a few times when a nobody stepped out of the shadows to stand up against the forces of evil. When David stepped out of the ranks of his army (with nothing but a slingshot) to do battle with the giant Goliath, he showed the way for future nobodies who would answer a call from within to combat evil. Who knows what unknown power made Donald Trump decide to run for president.  At this point in time, he is not just our best hope to save America. He is our only hope.

Past gaffs and errors have brought him to the point where he must make the most profound change a human being can make. He must change his basic nature. He must cease to be the person a lifetime of experience has made him. He must set aside the insults of his opponent's army of liars bent on baiting him into fighting back. He must let the insults roll off him like water off a duck's back. He must let the slings of outrageous fortune fall on deaf ears. If he fails to do so, he will forfeit any chance of remaking America. There are those who want to dump Trump. Nothing would make Hillary happier, for any other candidate would be only cannon fodder for the Clinton forces. It is too late. The die is cast. It is Trump or no one.

While I do not minimize the difficulty of changing his basic nature, I can only point out the enormity of the task before him. To save a business is a formidable task, but it is nothing compared to the task of saving a country and its people. What was once a battle for the presidency has become a battle between the forces of good and evil. It matters not if Donald Trump intended it that way. That's how it is.

Goliath has stepped on the field of battle. Now David must answer God's call.
