Open Letter to Bernie Sander's Supporters

Your suspicions were correct. The Democrat primary was rigged - and guess who rigged it? You know who - the same woman who rigged the Super-Delegates in her favor, Hillary Clinton. Now, the question before you is simple. What are you going to do about it? You clearly are on the horns of a dilemma. On the one hand, you can't stomach Hillary Clinton. On the other hand, you don't want to vote for a Republican like Donald Trump.

Let's explore some of the other alternatives. You might just stay at home and not vote. If Hillary wins, then your votes didn't matter anyway. If she loses, your lack of a vote for her will have propelled Trump into the White House. That's the same as voting for Trump.

Let's look down the road four years and see what things might look like in 2020 if Hillary wins. Do you think you and Bernie will be any better off than you were in 2016? Do you think Hillary will welcome Bernie into her inner sanctum? Do you think she will find a job for Bernie that does nothing but pays a nice salary? Why should she? She now controls everything so why would this vindictive woman give him anything? She may be corrupt, but she is not stupid enough to give her principal rival a base from which to mount a challenge to her in 2020. As a Bernie supporter, what would you hope to get out of a Clinton presidency? I submit you would get nothing - nada - zip. With an entire Democrat government against him, Bernie wouldn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of defeating Hillary in 2020. By 2024, Bernie will be in a nursing home and spend his declining years watching TV.

Now, let's look down the road four years and see what things might look like if Trump wins. You and Bernie will be no worse off than you were if Hillary had won. There will be two big differences. First, Hillary will be gone - most likely to prison. When the Republicans are in power, they will go after Hillary with a vengeance. They will demand their pound of flesh. During the Trump first term, a new FBI Director and Attorney General will be at the helm. In addition, the investigation into the Clinton Foundation will be complete. It will be exposed, as Donald Trump has said, to be nothing more than a money laundering scheme. It is very likely that both Bill and Hillary Clinton will spend the rest of their days behind bars. Secondly, President Trump will have an opportunity to fail miserably as Democrats are hoping. If he does fail, it will open the door for you and Bernie to make a sensational comeback. You will have a real shot at winning the presidency. On the other hand, if Trump succeeds, he will be untouchable in 2020 and no one in either party will be able to challenge him.

As one human being to another I sympathize with you. As bad as it is, it looks like your best chance is to abandon Hillary, forget the 2016 election, and lay plans for a run in 2020 hoping that Trump will fail. It's a long shot, but it looks to me like it's the only shot you have.
