A worker at a London-area preschool was attacked Wednesday by three women who reportedly chanted ”Allah will get you.

Karrien Stevens, who runs the Little Diamonds preschool in the Hermon Hill area of London, said a member of her staff was walking to work when she was stabbed by three females who chanted about Allah.

After the incident was reported, local parents received emails stating that schools were on “lockdown.”

The woman, who did not suffer life-threatening injuries, was rescued when a man interrupted the attack and escorted the injured woman to the preschool.

“We were called at 9:36 a.m. to reports of a stabbing in Hermon Hill,” a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said.

“Officers responding to the scene discovered a woman in her 30s who had suffered slash wounds. Her injuries are not life threatening but she has been taken to hospital as a precaution,” the spokeswoman said.  Police said that before being taken to the hospital, the victim was driven around the scene of the attack to see if she could spot her attackers.  “The three suspects fled the scene before police officers arrived and they are still not accounted for,” the spokeswoman said.

“We couldn’t believe it and called the police straight away,” Stevens said. “It’s terrible. I’m absolutely horrified. You don’t expect something like this to happen on your doorstep.”  “What is going on at the moment out there? It’s ridiculous. I don’t know what these people were hoping to achieve,” she added.

A Redbridge Council spokeswoman said schools were alerted.  “We informed schools and early-years providers of this incident and advised them to take precautions to keep children safe until we could clarify the situation. We have now given them updated information and advice,” she said.

Although the Counter Terrorism Command of the Metropolitan Police was informed of the incident, it was reportedly not being treated as a terrorism case.
