The Trouble with a Lie

IIf you tell the truth about something (or anything), you have all sorts of leeway to repeat your story as long as the core element remains the same. No one expects you to be able to repeat your story verbatim. In fact, if you do repeat it verbatim each time you tell it, it will be perceived as memorized, rehearsed, or made up. Your story will lose all credibility. People will tolerate a legitimate effort at the truth if they feel you are trying to tell the truth. Having lost small details over time themselves, they have sympathy for someone who just can't recall all the details of their story.
The trouble with a lie is that the liar will be unable to repeat the lie because they can't remember exactly what they said. A lie stands naked and alone because it has no basis in fact. There is no core element to which the liar can refer to as they attempt to retell the lie. Invariably this leads the liar to resort to another lie to cover their tracks. Each reiteration of the lie will force the liar to manufacture another lie. Without the core element of truth as a reference, each new lie varies further from the initial lie.
Hillary Clinton is a pathological liar.
Basically, a pathological liar is someone who tells lies habitually, chronically and compulsively. [Not unlike the Mainstream News media, etc - ED] It has simply become a way of life for this person to make up things for a variety of reasons, and eventually, the truth becomes uncomfortable while weaving whoppers feels right to them. Pathological liars will lie consistently, which is one thing you can count on - they will lie all the time. If the liar has done something wrong, he or she will do whatever is necessary to avoid blame - even if that means fabricating a story and/or pinning culpability on another person.
The worst thing that can happen to a pathological liar is to be busted for telling the lie. Expect the person to become extremely defensive, doing whatever he or she can to pin the blame on someone else. The pathological liar will start the cover-up process quickly to ensure that their reputation remains intact. This may include a bigger lie than the original fib - which may be quite apparent. The pathological liar is one who typically does not live in reality.
The liar lacks empathy. As hard as it is to believe, it is true. The liar does not have any moral consciousness of how the lying behavior may make you feel. The liar does not think before he lies. A pathological liar is not fazed by your reaction. You will rarely, if ever, see emotion.
It is amazing to me that Hillary Clinton has been able to get away with lying for so many years. She has perfected the art of lying until I am not sure she even knows what is a lie and what is the truth. She is the best liar I have ever seen and the best at lying with a straight face. This pathological liar is unfit to be president.
